My name is Klavs Lisovskis, I’m born on 27th Of April, exactly on Kings Day, 1993. In Jelgava, Latvia. I have been riding BMX even before I can remember myself, 4 years old I was when I started BMX. I have two older brothers that raced BMX aswell and my father was coaching them. During training I always went to track but did not ride, just hang out. But when my both brothers quit, I was asked my dad: "Why we don’t go to the BMX track anymore?" …and I’m still here 23 years later.
During my BMX challenge years I have always been a contender to win and I remember only 2 European races and 1 World champs where I didn't make main event. But when it came down to 'the big sport' I started to struggle because the lack of experience my coaches had, and my own understanding of what it means to be a professional athlete! So I slowly started to sink down on the rankings in all big events and that took away my motivation at that point…but I’m not a quitter so I kept going and tried to find new opportunities and possibilities to get better and it brought me to UCI training centre in Aigle, Switzerland. Training there gave me and idea what it takes to be a professional…That moment I understood that there is many like me that just don't know what it means to work by plan and keep working towards your goals as professional – So I decided to switch from being a Pro myself to become coach and create more riders Professionals, as I really enjoy helping and talking! So step by step I have found my way to this great team named : “Team TVE Sport”.
While my priority in sport is coaching, I still race on my BMX bike and compete in amateur level and have become 6x European Champ and 3x Vice World Champ during last 4 years.
